Iruvar! One of the masterpieces of Tamil Cinema.
It is a tale of two friends and their lives with and without each other and what paths they end up taking and how it all ends for them.
I always relate myself with the character Thamizhchezhvan that actor Prakash Raj plays in Iruvar. Our friendship is also being evolved like the plot of that cinema.
Yes… we do not have many pictures together, on the social media.. we do not have many cherish-worthy great memories. Not even facebook memories!!!
Yet, somewhere in my heart and mind , I know I have a special place for you… and still cherish the moments spent with you and your family so far.
Though we may have contradictory beliefs , It has not been a barrier to us to love each other. But I know that the ego I posses along with the scums, bullies and religious fanatics around you, are the only reason this Thamizhchezhvan in me couldn’t make to that friendship.
Sometimes, I really feel like hugging you just like any other best friends do and share the love and greetings. I know it is not possible or it cannot be as deliberate an act that can be done between us. I wish that this kind of friendship between us will endure the many challenges we will face.
I’m writing this blog as I am thrilled, overwhelmed and glad to celebrate the success of your love. I say success, because, the society around us has largely accepted that marriage is the climax to any love story, which isn’t true in anyways at all.
Now , this Thamizhchezhvan in me, is also so glad that you stood up and broke the stereotype of our society. I’m so overwhelmed for the reason that your love never had any caste in it, neither did it have any religion nor even culture. I feel so excited about it. And also so proud of your love. The love you share is definitely yet another milestone to a progressive society.
There are the most famous love stories in history and literature, they are immortal. Yours was an epic one.
I feel thrilled as I carry the memories of your love story. Those moments, when you had fallen for the girl. The first meeting and first get together and then the many other firsts… Those moments when you had gone crazy to propose your love to her. Those moments of smaller break ups. The day when she cried on your shoulders in that auto rickshaw, you were heart broken.
I remember how happy and enthralled you were when you were able to get the acceptance of your her parents. I know it wasn’t so easy. I’m glad as I was the part of the celebration. You were a passionate lover.
May this marriage strengthen the bond the two of you already share.
I wish you a marriage, filled with loads of joy, love and care. The love you share, is immense and sweet. May your love never fade away. May your feelings and emotions for each other only grow deep and strong with time. All the best for the times ahead.
May you bring each other as much happiness as your friendship has brought to my life — and more!
Im sure you know that you are signing a marriage contract which does not give you the option of renewing it every year? Congratulations for signing your life away.Congratulations to a wonderful friend and his new wife.
Apart from all the doctrines the Church marriage classed had taught you ever since your official engagement , I would like to give you my piece too. All I would like to advice to you both is that , If you are not going to put on a life jacket before taking the plunge, at least take swimming lessons.
